  • Movie

just saw Dark Knight last night...um, wow.

It was an amazing movie, but I don't think I can watch it again.  I think this will be the only time that I will say this, but the acting was too real.

RIP Heath, I pray you have found peace from those demons that followed you out of that movie.

  • Adventure with old trucks

So, yesterday I tried to blow up my little S10 truck.  Here's the back story:
This little truck is almost as old as I am, it an 86, and still doesn't have 200,000 miles yet.  I get use of this truck when ever I want, I just have to drop off my car and drive away.  It's the back up truck at my family's shop, so it doesn't get driven much, but my dad claims he tries to start it up once a week to make sure it still works.
Now here's what happened yesterday, Joshua and I hop in the truck and start driving to my sister's place in Lynnwood from the U District.  Now, because the truck is so old, I don't trust any of the gauges (even the speed), we're driving along and a light goes on, on the dash, it says "Check gauges", naturally I ignore it.  Then about a mile from my sister's place I realize that the temp gauge is topped out.  Joshua tells me not to let the speed get under 40 unless I'm turning off the engine.  God was with us, and we made it off the freeway and into a gas station.  I called my sister and she was home and able to come down and pick me up while Joshua stayed with the truck and waited until it cooled down.
All in all, he put 1 & 1/2 gallons of water in it!  Yup, the poor thing didn't have any water in it.  God's hand of protection was on us the whole time keeping us safe.
So yeah, I had a fun experience yesterday.  But we made it home safe with yet another load of stuff, and a friend is coming over later to help me organize and purge out stuff I don't need.  Yeah for friends that are good at organizing!

  • Happy and Sad

First off with the sad news, for all of you that knew her, Dixie Mae passed away yesterday.  She was almost 12 years old, and for a small dog, that is pretty good.  My mother and sister were with her at the last.
Thank you to all of you who kept Joshua and I in your prayers.  Joshua was offered a job today!  He will be starting on Tuesday.

So that is life for me right now.

  • Back not even a week...

And I got sick.  Yup food poisoning at a place that I've gone to for years.  Talk about something you don't want to mess with.  Joshua was seriously considering taking me to the hospital.  I was driving the porcelain buss for almost 14 hours, nothing would stay down, not even water.  I'm praying that I will be well enough for work tomorrow, considering that I am the only one bringing in a paycheck.  Yup, that's another bit, there was a mix up with paperwork, and Unemployment sent notice to him job that he was no longer working there (they got it the day we flew out and never called to ask what was up), so they went ahead and hired someone new.  Now he's back on the job hunt, so if ya'll could keep that in your prayers and thoughts, we would really appreciate it.

About Me

  • I'm a smart-allic hidding behind a stack of books. I'm a hopeless romantic hidding behind the crafted face of a cynic. I'm a writer that never lets anyone read what I write. I'm an actress that shys away from attention because I fear rejection. I don't know who or what I am, but I am finding out and doing it on purpose. Thanks Miss Dolly.
